AI Proof of Concept for Patient Care – GP Decision Support

I led the delivery of an AI-driven proof of concept in partnership with a team of data scientists to improve frontline patient care. The initiative involved uploading and processing millions of patient records using Dataiku, with the goal of generating personalised, clinically relevant outputs that General Practitioners could use to inform faster, more accurate interventions.

Working closely with the data science team, I coordinated requirements, clarified clinical use cases, and ensured that the model workflows aligned with operational needs. The solution validated patient data, produced predictive outputs, and presented results that supported GPs in making evidence-based decisions without waiting for additional tests.

This proof of concept demonstrated the potential for AI-supported clinical insights to transform patient pathways, reduce diagnostic delays, and provide healthcare professionals with immediate, data-driven recommendations. The project was featured in an article by one of the lead scientists involved, highlighting its innovation and potential impact on NHS primary care.
